Mazzella Field
The home for Iona University soccer, lacrosse, rugby and general athletics training, exercise and additional institutional activities and events.
Mazzella Field first opened in 1989 and was recently resurfaced with new turf in recent years. The field features designated markings for soccer and lacrosse, with the capability to accommodate rugby as well. Mazzella Field has a maximum capacity of 2,400 spectators within the facility.
A press box and scoreboard are also located at Mazzella Field, and all games hosted at the venue have the capability to be broadcast on ESPN+, ESPN, ESPN Unlimited and regional broadcast stations SNY, YES and MSG Networks .
In September 2018, Iona University Athletics honored 2006 alumnus and ALS advocate Pat Quinn with a dedicated corner at Mazzella Field. It serves as a lasting reminder to all who visit of Quinn’s courage and leadership in the fight against ALS.
Mazzella Field was made possible through the generous support of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph and JoAnn Murphy Mazzella.
