Van Cortlandt Park
The Iona College cross country and track & field programs uses Van Cortlandt as a primary training ground throughout the athletic year. It also serves as the home course for annual Br. John "Paddy" Doyle Meet of Champions which takes place during the opening weeks of each cross country season.
Van Cortlandt Park is more than a thousand aces large atop the ridges and valleys of the northwest Bronx. Playing fields and playgrounds are scattered about the park's edges, surrounding a richly forested heartland fed by Tibbets Brook. The park is home to the country's first public golf course, the oldest house in the Bronx, and the borough's largest freshwater lake.Â
