Trailing by one in the first game, Iona ripped off four straight points, three coming off Shelby Erb serves, to go ahead 18-15. But Manhattan recovered to tie the score at 18 before pulling away for the four-point win.
Down 28-21 in game two, the Gaels began to rally, cutting the deficit to three on a block by Sarah Wiener and Whitney Wright. The Jaspers regrouped once again and put together the final two points to go ahead by two games.
The Gaels came out hot in game three, with two aces from Beth Holly leading the way to a 7-1 lead. Manhattan fought back, tying the score at 15 and 16, but Iona would score on six consecutive Megan Dailey serves to go up 23-16. From there, the Maroon & Gold coasted to the eight-point win.
Iona led 5-1 in game four before Manhattan scored four straight to tie. The Gaels again began to pull away, leading 19-15, but Manhattan recovered to even the score at 20 before pulling ahead.
