New Rochelle - The energy was high in the Hynes Athletics Center tonight as Iona downed Saint Peter's in a three game shutout. The Gaels were impressive throughout the contest, dominating the Peahens 30-28, 30-15, 30-26 in the last home match of the season.
Shelby Erb was once again the go-to hitter for the Maroon & Gold as she recorded a team-high 14 kills to go along with 19 digs, second behind Morgan Young's 22. Kristin Allain led the team in attack percentage with a .400 showing, and also tied Megan Dailey with ten kills.
The Gaels will take to the road for their final two matches, meeting up with Rider and Siena this weekend.
