Columbus, OH - The Iona College women's volleyball team defeated Lehigh today in the Ohio State University Tournament. The Gaels shutout the Mountain Hawks three games to none, winning 30-21, 30-26, 30-28.

Senior Katie Brilla made a standout showing for Iona, batting down 12 kills in the win, the most for the team. Sophomore Alyssa Morales led the squad with 12 digs on defense. Iona held an advantage over Lehigh with a total attack percentage of .172 to Lehigh's .058. The Gaels, moving to a 2-5 season record, were able to keep the Mountain Hawks winless in 2006.

Iona plays next at Seton Hall on Sep. 6 beginning at 7:00 pm.
