NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. (AP) -- Todd Sowell had a season-high 24 points and added 14 rebounds to help Saint Peter's beat Iona 54-52 on Friday night.

Akeem Gooding had eight points and 11 rebounds for the Peacocks (5-23, 3-14 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference).

Milan Prodanovic led Iona (2-26, 1-16) with 18 points, and senior Tony Bruin, in his last home game for the Gaels, added 16. Iona lost its first 22 games of the season.

St. Peter's outscored Iona 21-12 in the final 10 minutes.
