Bridgeport, PA - The Iona College men's water polo team cracked the top 10 this week in the CWPA Poll. The Gaels (2-6) knocked Mercyhurst out of the top 10. Sophomore Joe Przekota leads the Gaels with 25 goals and 24 kickouts drawn in his first 8 games.

The Gaels went 2-2 to start the season at the Navy Labor Day Open as they downed Gannon and Penn State Behrend while falling to No. 13 Pacific and No. 11 Navy. At the Princeton Invitational this past weekend, the Gaels were narrowly defeated in overtime to then ranked Mercyhurst and fell to No. 12 Bucknell, No. 15 Princeton and RV George Washington.

The Gaels are back in action on Tuesday as conference foe #2 St. Francis (NY) comes to Hynes Athletic Center Pool at 7:30 PM.
