BUFFALO, NY - The Iona College volleyball team dropped a three-set decision to Canisius at the Koessler Athletic Center this afternoon.  The Gaels (13-7, 5-3 MAAC) came up just short of forcing a fourth game in the final set in the 15-25, 13-25, 24-26 loss.

Junior Sarah Wiener and freshman Rachelle Wilson had seven kills a piece to lead the Gaels.   Senior Alyssa Morales and sophomore Alyssa Erickson split time at the setter position and had 14 and 13 assists respectively.   Sophomore libero Allison Nieters had 17 digs in the loss.

The Gaels return home to the cozy confines of the Hynes Center next weekend when they take on Siena and Fairfield on Oct 18 and 19.
