NEW ROCHELLE, NY - The Iona College volleyball team dropped a four-set decision to Siena this afternoon in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action at the Hynes Center.   The Gaels (13-8, 5-4 MAAC) suffered their first loss at home of the season in the 23-25, 25-18, 18-25, 20-25 decision against the Saints (9-10, 7-2 MAAC).

Junior Sarah Wiener and rookie Rachelle Wilson led the Gaels with 10 kills a piece.   Wilson completed her first collegiate double-double with 10 blocks, her second 10+ block effort of the season.  Wiener had six blocks of her own as the Gaels posted 14 blocks in the match.   Sophomore Alyssa Erickson posted 40 assists, six digs and five blocks.  Classmate Allison Nieters had a match-high 24 digs.  Rachel Whitten and Molly O'Shea each posted nine kills.

The Gaels are back in action tomorrow after a short rest against MAAC leader Fairfield at the Hynes Center.
