LOUDONVILLE, NY - The Iona College volleyball team ended its season with a four-set loss to top seeded Fairfield in the semifinal round of the 2008 MAAC Championship.  The Gaels fell to the Stags 23-25, 10-25, 25-23, 15-25 and finished their season with a 19-12 overall record.

Newly crowned MAAC Co-Rookie of the Year Rachelle Wilson led Iona offensively, posting 11 kills, a .304 hitting percentage and seven blocks.   MAAC Defensive Player and Libero of the Year Allison Nieters had 23 digs in the loss.  Sophomore setter Alyssa Erickson recorded her 14th double-double of the year with 21 assists and 12 digs.  Rachel Whitten added 14 digs.
