LOUDONVILLE, NY - The Iona College volleyball team dropped a heartbreaking five-set decision at Siena this afternoon at the Alumni Rec Center.  The Gaels earned a win in the fourth set to force a deciding set before losing by two in the finale.  The set scores were 25-16, 19-25, 22-25, 25-21, 13-15.

Junior OH Sarah Wiener and sophomore OH Rachel Whitten each had 15 kills to lead the Gaels offensively.  Rookies Rachelle Wilson and Molly O'Shea added 11 and 10 respectively as four players reached double-digit kill totals.  Wiener completed her third double-double of the season and second in the last three matches with 12 digs.  Sophomore S Alyssa Erickson added her team-leading sixth double-double with 45 assists and 12 digs.  Wilson and sophomore MB Colleen Genett had five blocks.  Sophomore libero Allison Nieters posted 19 digs and matched a career-high with three aces in the loss.

The Gaels are back in action tomorrow afternoon when they take on Fairfield.
