CAMBRIDGE, MA - The Iona College men's water polo team fell to MIT Saturday evening in the first game of a three-game weekend roadtrip by the score of 9-6. Sophomore Trevor Creighton returned to the Gaels' lineup with a bang, scoring two goals and dishing out an assist.

The Gaels were tied with the Engineers after the first quarter, but a strong second quarter by MIT proved impossible for the Gaels to recover from. For the Gaels, junior Seth Tasman also had two goals while junior goalkeeper Eric Konzem recorded seven saves.

The Gaels conclude the weekend with a pair of games in Cambridge on Sunday. First the Gaels take on Brown at 10:00 am. Later in the day, the Gaels take on Harvard at 2:00 pm.
