NEW ROCHELLE, NY - The Iona College volleyball team swept Saint Peter's in three sets at the Hynes Athletics Center, winning 25-20, 27-25, and 25-19 for the squad's second MAAC victory of the season.  The team has now won two of its last three contests.

Junior OH/MB Rachel Whitten led all players with 11 kills while also recording 14 digs and two service aces.  Senior OH Sarah Wiener followed with nine kills and two blocks, and libero Allison Nieters had a game-high 22 digs.  Sophomore setter Nicole Tamburri picked up 28 assists.

The Gaels scored the first point in each of the three sets and after going ahead two sets to none, never trailed in the final stanza. 

Iona continues the weekend action at home, hosting Marist at 2:00 pm on Sunday.
