NEW ROCHELLE, NY - The Iona College volleyball team fell in three sets to Fairfield in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action at the Hynes Center.  The Gaels lost 25-18, 25-18, 25-17.

Sophomore MB Colleen Genett led the Gaels with seven kills.  She hit .600 in the contest with just one error in 10 attempts.  Junior OH Rachel Whitten added six kills while sophomore MB Molly O'Shea had five kills and four blocks.  Sophomore S Nicole Tamburri posted 21 assists and junior libero Allison Nieters had 12 digs.

The Gaels continue MAAC action at home next weekend against Saint Peter's and Marist on Saturday (Oct. 10) and Sunday (Oct. 11).
