The Gaels recorded double-digit kill totals in the Iona College volleyball team's three set sweep of Manhattan on Senior Day at the Hynes Center. The Maroon & Gold honored seniors Sarah Wiener and Whitney Wright prior to the match.

Iona won the match 25-17, 25-20, 25-22. Sophomore MB Molly O'Shea posted 13 kills and and five blocks while hitting .417. Junior OH Rachel Whitten recorded 12 kills and Wiener had 11 kills and four blocks in the win. Junior MB Colleen Genett had eight kills and hit a team best .538.

Junior S Alyssa Erickson had 45 assists in the three sets to go along with five digs and three blocks. Junior libero Allison Nieters had a team-high 13 digs. Junior DS Laura Fojanesi netted 12 digs in the Gaels win.

Iona completes the regular season tomorrow afternoon on the road at Fairfield. Hanging on to a potential postseason berth, the Gaels need a win over Fairfield and a Loyola and Marist loss to qualify for the MAAC Championship next weekend at Canisius.
