RIVERSIDE, CA - The Iona College men's water polo team opened their west coast trip with a Thursday afternoon matchup with No. 15 Cal Baptist. The Gaels played some of their best polo of the season but were unable to come back from a slow first eight minutes, falling 15-11. The Gaels were unable to keep the Lancers off the scoreboard early, falling behind 6-2 after the first quarter. Making the necessary adjustments after the first, the Gaels played the opposition goal for goal cutting the contest as close as three before falling by the 15-11 score.
