NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, NY - The Iona College volleyball team dropped a three-set decision to Niagara in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action at the Gallagher Center. The Gaels (11-6, 5-2 MAAC) dropped a game behind the Purple Eagles (11-8, 6-1 MAAC) in a matchup of two of the conference's four first place teams.

The Purple Eagles were led by Kari Honomichi and Hanna Hedrick's 11 kills. Setter Michelle James had 33 assists and 10 digs while libero Sam Morgan posted 14 digs.
The Gaels continue action in Western NY when they take on Canisius on Sunday afternoon. The Gaels take on their third first place team in a row in the contest.
