NEW LONDON, CT - The Iona College men's water polo team was unsuccessful in its return to Northern Division play, falling to Brown 13-6 Wednesday evening in a matchup played at Connecticut College.
The Gaels hung tough early, trailing by two after the first quarter.  But the squad was outscored 8-4 in quarters two and three as the Bears pulled away from their conference opponents.
Senior Cameron Hudson and freshman Jake Lloyd each had two goals, with one of Lloyd's coming on a five meter shot.  The rookie also had one assist, one steal and one field block.  Senior Matt Joslyn and junior Kristian Bocage were responsible for the other Iona goals.  Sophomore Stefen Hill had seven saves for the Maroon & Gold.
The Gaels are back in action this weekend in Princeton, NJ at the CWPA North-South Crossover, beginning with a match up against George Washington at 11:00 am.
