NEW ROCHELLE, NY - The Iona College volleyball team fell to Siena in three sets at the Hynes Center. Despite the sweep, the Gaels had opportunities in both the first and final frames as they were each decided by two points in the 25-27, 20-25, 27-29 defeat at home.

Catrina Warren added 11 in the loss. Warren hit .476 with six digs and six blocks in the three sets.
Though slowing down the Saints' top offensive performer Taylor Akana for most of the match, two others burned Iona. Rachal Stoklosa and Colleen Ahearn combined for 23 of the squad's 49 kills. Stoklosa had a double-double with 11 kills and 10 digs. Akana and libero Lesli Akeo each had 18 digs while setter Sarah Siverston hit .455 and had 42 assists and 11 digs.
The Gaels hit the road for a four-game swing at Rider and Loyola this weekend.
