CLAREMONT, CA – For the second consecutive day, the Iona men's water polo team split a pair of games at the Gary Troyer Memorial Tournament.
In the first game, the Gaels dropped a 14-10 contest to No. 20 Concordia and then took their second night game of the trip, upsetting California Lutheran 14-10.

Jake Lloyd had seven goals on the day and classmate
Lee Stiles had eight assists. Junior netminder
Stefen Hill made 22 saves on the day, 10 in the win over Cal Lutheran and 12 against Concordia.
In the Cal Lutheran game, junior
Matthew Stelnicki won all four swim-offs and was a key on the defensive end. Sophomore
Ian Thompson and freshman
Zach Presto each scored three goals each with Lloyd leading the way with four tallies.
The Gaels will get back in the pool early tomorrow with games against Loyola Marymount and California Tech.
