St. John's Defeats Iona Volleyball In Three Sets

JAMAICA, NY - The Iona College volleyball team dropped a three set decision to St. John's in non-conference action at Carnesecca Arena. The Red Storm took the match 25-13, 25-16, 25-16.

Sophomore MB Catrina Warren led the way with eight kills while junior OH Madisyn Spence had four in the loss. Senior libero Theresa Harvey posted a team-best seven digs and junior OH Alicja Pawelec had six. Sophomore S Caris Myles posted 13 kills.

St. John's was led by 14 kills from Karin Palgutova.

The Gaels return to MAAC play on Friday night when they host Fairfield at the Hynes Center at 7:00 pm.
