Volleyball Drops Four Set Decision To TCU

TUSCON, AZ- The Iona College volleyball team fell to TCU in its final match at the Arizona Invitational. The Gaels dropped the four set match 15-25, 25-19, 19-25, and 21-25.

Junior OH Alicja Pawelec posted a double-double with 14 kills and 10 digs. Sophomore MH Catrina Warren had 13 kills, six blocks and three aces while junior OH Madisyn Spence recorded 10 kills and five digs.

Pawelec and Warren were named to the All-Tournament team following the final match.

Senior RS Molly O'Shea returned to the lineup and had six kills off the bench. Sophomore setter Caris Myles posted 39 assists.

Defensively, senior libero Theresa Harvey had a team-best 14 digs while rookie OH Katy Crouse had 10 digs in the loss.

Iona opens MAAC play next weekend at the Hynes Center when they host Manhattan (Sep. 15) and Saint Peter's (Sep. 16) in New Rochelle.
