Mangione Leads Iona Swim to Win Over St. Peter's

NEW ROCHELLE, NY - The Iona College women's swimming and diving team out performed MAAC foe St. Peter's en route to a 124-112 victory at the Hynes Center Pool on Tuesday evening.

The Gaels were led by wins in the 200-free by senior Theresa Harvey (1:56.54) and freshman Mary Ellen Mangione won the 200-IM (2:16.16).

Iona also took both diving events, as freshman Alicia Raffle won the one-meter board with a 178.55 score. Senior Jamie Colburn won the three-meter event with a 175.95.

The Gaels sealed the victory with a first place finish in the 400-free relay, consisting of freshmen Melissa Dorsch and Leigh Musselman, sophomore Olivia Kroll and anchored by Mangione in 3:45.47.

The Gaels will host Fairfield on Saturday beginning at 11 a.m.
