NEWARK, NJ - The Iona College volleyball team tuned up for its final regular season MAAC contest in a non-conference tilt at NJIT. The Gaels swept the Highlanders 25-16, 25-20, 25-21.

Junior OH Catrina Warren posted a 15-kill, 11-dig double-double. Senior OH Alicja Pawelec also contributed a double-double with 10 kills and 13 assists.

Complementing the two left side hitters were junior RS Taylor Cembalisty with nine kills and seven digs and sophomore MH McKenzie Human with eight kills, three digs and a block.

Sophomore setter Natalie Ziskin posted 40 assists and eight digs. Senior libero Madisyn Spence added a team-best 17 digs in the win.

NJIT was led by Cathy Leung's seven kills. The Highlander performers had double-digit digs while setter Fran Edmonson added 17 assists.

The Gaels complete the regular season in a win-and-your-in matchup with Manhattan Saturday at 7:00 pm at the Hynes Center. An Iona victory secures a berth into the 2013 MAAC Championship.
