HAMDEN, CT - The Iona College volleyball team picked up a three set victory over Quinnipiac in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action Saturday afternoon at Burt Kahn Court. Set scores were 25-13, 25-15 and 25-17.

Junior Shannon Ward led the Gaels with 14 kills, hitting .604 on the day. Junior Catrina Warren posted a double double on 11 kills and 10 digs. Senior Madisyn Spence had a game high 13 digs while junior Taylor Cembalisty added seven kills and 12 digs in the win. Sophomore Natalie Ziskin had a game high 40 assists and eight digs for the Maroon & Gold.

Quinnipiac was led by five digs from Allison Leigh. Chandler Thornton added a team high 11 digs for the Bobcats.

The Gaels now hold an 11-5 record in MAAC play and currently sit in fourth place in the standings with two conference games remaining. Iona visits Fairfield Sunday at 1:00 pm before hosting Manhattan next Saturday in the regular season finale at 7:00 pm.
