Box Score ITHACA, NY - The Iona College volleyball team fell in four sets to host Cornell in its final match at the Big Red's invitational.
Junior Catrina Warren had her highest kill output of the season with a team-best 15 to lead the Maroon & Gold. She added eight digs and a block. Rookie Karly White posted 11 kills and four blocks in her first career double-digit kill outburst. Junior Taylor Cembalisty posted her first double-double of the year with 10 kills and 12 digs. Sophomore setter Natalie Ziskin also recorded a double-double with 43 assists and 11 digs while adding three blocks.
Sophomore Katy Crouse had nine kills and 12 digs and libero Katie Marabella recorded a team-high 19 digs in the loss.
The Big Red took match with set scores of 25-22, 25-23, 24-26 and 25-20. A trio of Cornell performers had 11 kills. Kelly Marble completed a double-double with 20 digs. Macy Wilson posted nine blocks.
Iona is back in action next weekend at the Florida Active Ankle Challenge. The Gaels take on Western Michigan Friday with the host Gators and Georgetown rounding out the tournament Saturday.
