Box Score NEW JERSEY, NJ - The Iona College volleyball team fell to 1-4 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play Saturday afternoon following a five-set loss to Saint Peter's at the Yanitelli Center. The Gaels (4-12) took the first set 25-27, and third set 26-24. The Peacocks took the second set 26-24, and the fourth set 25-22 before claiming a 15-13 win in the fifth set.
Senior OH Catrina Warren and senior RS Taylor Cembalisty each registered double-doubles in the contest. Warren finished with 14 kills and 15 digs, while Cembalisty recorded 12 kills and 13 digs. Senior MB Shannon Ward hit .458 and tallied 12 kills.
Senior DS Katie Marabella posted a team-high 21 digs for the Gaels. Senior Caris Myles and junior Natalie Ziskin split time at the setter position, with Myles posting 28 assists and Ziskin 20 of her own.
Lauren Behrens had a game-high 18 kills for the Peacocks, while Kristina Baehr had 58 assists and 16 digs.
The Gaels take on Rider Sunday afternoon (1:00 pm), before beginning a four-game homestand on Saturday, Oct. 11 against Canisius (1:00 pm).
