Iona VB Falls In Three Sets To Quinnipiac

HAMDEN, CT - The Iona University volleyball team dropped a three-set decision to Quinnipiac in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play at Burt Kahn Court. The Gaels fell 25-10, 25-20, 27-25 Wednesday night.

IONA PERFORMERS

Sophomore Mackenzie Wiggins posted nine kills and four digs.
Rookie Ezzie Thompson had seven kills on 14 swings, hitting .500 with a block.
Senior Morgan Madasz led the Gaels with three blocks.
Senior setter Tamara Pichardo had 14 assists and nine digs.
Senior libero Hope Matschner posted 18 digs.

THE OPPONENT

Aryanah Diaz posted 17 kills and 17 digs to lead the Bobcats.
Yagmur Gunes added 12 kills and had four blocks.
Ginevra Giovagnoni had a 13-kill, 13-dig double-double.
Setter Damla Gunes recorded 36 assists and 13 digs.

UP NEXT

The Gaels continue action on the road this weekend when they travel to Rider and Saint Peter's.
