Miller's second score 1:18 later gave Iona a one-goal 1-0 edge. With two straight scores, the hosts retook a one-score 3-2 advantage with 1:17 left. Continuing a 3-0 run, the Bears added another goal with ten ticks left for a 4-2 lead going into the second period.

Vlasic's five-meter penalty goal followed by Imm tied the game at five all with 2:55 on the clock. At the two-minute mark, Brown regained a one-goal 6-5 cushion, but Miller's third goal with 45 ticks left locked the match at six apiece. On their next trip down the pool, Brown scored for a 7-6 halftime advantage.

The hosts went back up two 8-6 with 1:17 gone, then Vlasic's second goal put the Gaels with one 8-7 with 6:19 left. A Brown five-meter penalty goal 15 seconds later restored a two-goal 9-7 home lead. After Harrington sliced Brown's edge to one 9-8, the Bears answered on their next chance to go back up two 10-8 with 2:56 on the clock.   Just 1:01 later, Vlasic fired from half-tank to narrow the gap back to one 10-9. Another Brown goal with 29 ticks left gave the Bears a two-goal 11-9 margin going into the final period.

With two straight scores on a 3-0 run, the Bears mounted a four-goal 13-9 cushion with 4:26 remaining.   Following Brown's fourth consecutive goal, Nastic cut the Bears lead back to four 14-10 with two minutes left, but a Brown score 25 seconds later sealed the home squad's 15-10 win.

Despite two disappointing losses this weekend, Miller complimented his teammates' efforts against Harvard and Brown, as well as the win over MIT. "The guys had really good first halves against Brown and MIT," Miller said. "There were a lot of learning moments in the weekend. The guys played really well and it was a fun weekend."
