LIU closed out the first quarter with two to tie things up at five each but right before the buzzer Jevdjovic notched his first giving the Maroon & Gold a one goal lead..

Both defense had to get in on the action as they held each other to three goals in the second quarter. Second period goals came from Vlasic and Jevdjovic with two. Both teams entered the halftime break the way they entered the second quarter, Gaels leading by one. Iona was out scored 5-4 in the third quarter, Vlasic notched goals five and six, with Andrew Miller and Freshman Jayden Arana getting in on the action.
