Iona VB Falls to Quinnipiac in Consecutive Sets

HAMDEN, CT - The Iona University Volleyball team traveled to Hamden Connecticut to take on Quinnipiac in each squads' seventh Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference game day of the season. With both sides entering the match winning three of their last four, it was set to be a thrilling back and forth battle.

And the first set was just that. Despite and impressive seven kills off 10 total attempts from Grace Ehler, the Maroon & Gold dropped the first. Their third-straight set loss in extended play across two games. The Gaels later looked to run away with the second set leading 20-15, but eight unanswered from the Bobcats saw them push to a 25-21 victory.  As Iona entered the third set, fatigue of five straight away games started to show as Quinnipiac finished off the Maroon & Gold 25-10.
