THE RUNDOWN
With the score tied at 6-6 just over four minutes into the contest, the Bobcats scored 17 of the next 20 points over the next 5:15, capped by nine straight to give the visitors a 23-9 advantage with 10:42 to play. The Gaels came as close as seven points following a Tretout jumper to as time was expiring in the first half.

Quinnipiac regained a 14-point lead and led 47-33 less than three and a half minutes into the frame following an 8-0 run. The Gaels battled back with seven straight points that sparked a 17-7 run and a four point deficit at the midway point of the half. Trailing 54-50 after a Brown three-ball, Iona went cold from the field, going without a field goal for a near four minute span and allowing the Bobcats to regain a double-digit advantage it would hold for the remainder of the contest. The 18-point margin at the final buzzer was the visitor's largest lead of the game.
IONA PERFORMERS
- Brown increased his season-high for the second straight contest in his 17-point effort. He added a rebound and a blocked shot.
- Tretout shot 5-for-9 from the field with two three-pointers and two free throws to account for his 14 points. He also had three assists, two blocks, two rebounds and a steal.
- Freshman Jeremiah Quigley netted 10 points with five rebounds, four assists and two steals.
- Graduate Wheza Panzo posted nine points with three long distance connections while posting four rebounds and three assists.
- Rookie Jean Aranguren also had nine points and a game-high eight boards.
THE OPPONENT
- Eight different players scored between eight and 13 points for the visitors.
- Alex Reyes led with 13 points and eight rebounds, adding five assists.
- Savion Lewis had nine points and 12 assists.
TEAM STATS
- Quinnipiac held advantages in shooting (50.0%-36.5%) and rebounding (44-30), with 20 assists and 11 turnovers to Iona's 12 and six.
- The Bobcats led 14-12 on the offensive glass and 22-7 in second chance points.
