CHERRY HILL, NJ - The Iona University men's rowing team raced two boats at the 2024 Knecht Cup on the Cooper River on Sunday. The Gaels' varsity eight crew advanced to the grand final of the event to highlight the day.
VARSITY 8+
Racing in the third of three heats, Iona finished second with a time of 6:05.19 to advance to the afternoon's grand final. The Gaels finished behind Colgate and ahead of Fairfield, Mercyhurst and Skidmore. Senior

VARSITY 4+
In a two heat event with no final, the Maroon & Gold finished third in the opening race behind Temple's second boat and Michigan. Iona topped Gordon and George Mason. Overall, the Gaels time of 7:14.75 was eighth overall among the 12 boats competing, also ahead of Fordham in the second heat. The two Temple boats took the top two spots with Oklahoma City taking third. Freshman
