Iona Men’s Water Polo Falls to Navy, 18–8

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Iona University men's water polo team fell on the road to Navy, 18–8, on Saturday evening.

The Gaels were outscored 5–1 in the first quarter and 5–3 in the second, as the Midshipmen built a commanding halftime lead. Navy extended its advantage in the third period with six goals to Iona's one before both teams traded scores in the final frame.

Iona's offense was led by Samson Williams and Pavle Musikic, who each scored two goals. Rastko Jevdjovic, Edward Imm, Toni Vlasic, and Kale Arena each added one goal for the Gaels.

Defensively, the Gaels were whistled for eight exclusions while drawing six Navy ejections on the other end.

Next up, Iona hits the road again to face Connecticut College on Monday at 6:30 p.m.
