NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The Iona University women's soccer team concluded its 2025 campaign on Wednesday afternoon with a 4-0 setback to Siena at Mazzella Field. The Gaels finish the 2025 season with a 6-10-3 record overall and a 4-6-2 MAAC record.
GAME SUMMARY
The Saints looked to strike first after Iona received the opening draw as sophomore
Kayla Kalbaugh made a diving save just 1:43 into the contest for the Gaels.
Iona looked to counter in the 12
th minute as a lead pass set a breakaway chance for graduate student

From there the visitors used diligent passing that led to goals in the 19

th minute to take a commanding first half lead. The Gaels looked to get on the board late in the opening stanza a shots on goal by junior

Victoria Ryan in the final eight minutes were denied by Burns. Kalbaugh tallied two-first half saves for Iona.
Out of the halftime break, Siena's pressure forced an Iona turnover that led to the final goal of the game in the 53
rd minute to bring the final score to 4-0. Junior
Savannah Rogers made two second half saves for the Maroon & Gold.
