2025 Arrigoni Hall of Fame Class Announced

NEW ROCHELLE, NY – Iona University director of athletics Matthew Glovaski announced the 2025 Arrigoni Hall of Fame class. The group of four includes two former Iona student-athletes, a coach and an athletics administrator that will be honored during an induction ceremony in the LaPenta School of Business atrium on Saturday, May 17, 2025.
 
"We are thrilled to recognize and celebrate the incredible achievements of this year's Arrigoni Hall of Fame inductees," said Matthew Glovaski, Director of Athletics. "Each honoree has made a lasting impact on Iona University Athletics, demonstrating excellence, dedication, and a deep commitment to their craft. Their contributions, both in competition and beyond, have helped shape the proud tradition of the Maroon & Gold. On behalf of the Iona community, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to our inductees and their families as we honor their outstanding legacies."

2025 IONA ATHLETICS ARRIGONI HALL OF FAME CLASS

Sam DeRosa '87, '00MS – Administrator/Director of Sports Medicine

  • A 40+-year veteran of the Iona athletics department and long-time head athletic trainer and director of Sports Medicine

Kevin Fales '03 – Football

  • Division I-AA All-American and one of the top defensive players in program history

Emma Hayes - Women's Soccer

  • Current USWNT head coach who lead Team USA to a gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, served as a successful head coach for the Gaels from 2003-05.

Leonard Korir '12 – Cross Country/Track & Field

  • A two-time NCAA champion, two-time United States Olympian and multiple time All-American

HALL OF FAME INDUCTION WEEKEND

Saturday, MAY 17

  • 3 p.m – Cocktail Reception, LaPenta School of Business atrium
  • 4 p.m. – Arrigoni HOF Induction Ceremony, LaPenta School of Business atrium
