EDISON, NJ — The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) has recognized a dominant all-around week in the pool, naming Lola Trujillo Defensive Player of the Week and Sadie Sallas Offensive Player of the Week following standout performances against Marist Red Foxes and Salem University Tigers.

Trujillo made a major impact on the defensive end in both contests. Against Marist, she recorded three steals and two blocks, disrupting the Red Foxes' offensive rhythm and anchoring the defensive unit. She followed that performance with four more steals versus Salem, consistently applying pressure and forcing turnovers.

In addition to her defensive dominance, Trujillo contributed significantly on offense, totaling five goals and five assists across the two games. She also won all eight swim-offs during the week, securing crucial possessions that set the tone from the opening whistle and provided her team with valuable opportunities.

Sallas powered the offensive attack with an explosive scoring week. She netted five goals and added a steal in the win over Marist, helping secure a key conference victory. Sallas elevated her performance even further against Salem, pouring in six goals while adding two assists and another steal to lead the offensive charge.

Together, Trujillo and Sallas combined for 16 goals, seven assists, eight steals, and two blocks across the two wins, showcasing the team's strength on both ends of the pool and underscoring their impact within MAAC play.
