NEW ROCHELLE, NY - Iona University men's basketball graduate guard CJ Anthony was named to the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association (MBWA) All-Met Third Team, recognizing the top performers across the metropolitan New York region for the 2025-26 season.
 
Anthony delivered a standout campaign in his lone season with the Maroon & Gold, starting all 31 games while leading the Gaels in multiple categories. He averaged 14.3 points, 5.4 assists, and 1.6 steals per game, while adding 3.1 rebounds per contest. His 166 total assists ranked 11th most in a single season in program history.
 
A steady presence on both ends of the floor, Anthony shot 43.8 percent from the field, 37.1 percent from three-point range, and 75.9 percent from the free throw line. He totaled 444 points, 95 rebounds, 51 steals, and 52 made three-pointers on the year, finishing with a 1.89 assist-to-turnover ratio.
 
Among team leaders, Anthony ranked first in scoring, assists, and steals, while placing third in three-pointers made and second in assist-to-turnover ratio. His all-around production earned him All-MAAC Second Team honors earlier this season.
 
Anthony joined Iona for his final collegiate season following a four-year career at Cincinnati, where he began as a walk-on and developed into a team captain. His leadership and experience proved instrumental in guiding the Gaels throughout the 2025-26 campaign.
