Smart, savvy righty who knows how to use her pitches to produce outs... Keeps the ball down well and uses her movement to frustrate hitters... Born 4/10/1985... Majoring in Mass Communications.

AS A JUNIOR:
Appeared in 4 games in 2006, coming off of two seasons of injury... Earned an ERA of 5.95 and struck out 8 batters in 20 innings pitched... Earned one win on the season against Dayton (3/16) holding the team to only two runs and four hits for the game... One of 10 Iona players named to the MAAC All-Academic squad

BEFORE IONA:
Comes to New Rochelle after participating in the Pan-Am Championships in Hermosillo, Mexico as a member of the Canadian Junior National Team. Spohn had a successful 2002 summer season leading the Brampton Blazers to a fourth place finish at the Canadian Midget (18U) Nationals, posting a 20-4-2 record with a 1.38 ERA.
