Biography


GENERAL:
  • Will compete in his final season of eligibility at Iona as a graduate student after earning his degree in biology with a minor in pre professional clinical studies from Longwood University.
  • Athletic post performer will look to see time in the Gaels front court rotation.
  • Averaged more than 10 points per game in his last two seasons at Longwood, appearing in 95 total games with 37 starts, 692 points and 363 rebounds.
AS A SENIOR (LONGWOOD, 2013-14):
  • Appeared in 32 games making six starts for the Lancers.
  • Averaged 19.0 minutes, 10.4 points and 4.2 rebounds.
  • Had 16 double-digit scoring efforts including a season-high 18 vs. West Virginia Tech on Dec. 4.
  • Recorded his lone double-double with a season-best 13 rebounds in the same contest.
  • Member of Longwood Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
AS A JUNIOR (LONGWOOD, 2012-13):
  • Started 31 of 33 games, averaged 24.4 minutes, 10.0 points, 5.7 rebounds and 0.5 assists.
  • Shot 51.1% (140-274) from the field and 68.5% (50-73) at the free throw line.
  • Posted a season-high 19 points at No. 12 Creighton (Nov. 20) and 12 rebounds at VMI (Mar. 2).
  • Tied season-high with two assists on three occasions, most recent at VMI (Mar. 2).
  • Posted 18 double-digit scoring games, three double-digit rebounding games and three double-doubles as a sophomore.
  • Led team in scoring five times and in rebounding eight times.
  • Academically, received the Longwood Scholar-Athlete Award and Longwood All-Academic Team Award.
  • Attended the 2012 Big South Conference SAAC Leadership Conference in Black Mountain, North Carolina during summer 2012.
AS A SOPHOMORE (LONGWOOD, 2011-12):
  • Played four games, averaged 4.8 minutes, 1.8 points, and 0.5 rebounds.
  • Shot 42.9% (3-7) from the field and 50.0% (1-2) at the free throw line.
  • Had a season-high with four points vs. UMKC in Chicago (Nov. 26).
  • Missed the final 22 games of the season with an injury and received a medical hardship waiver from the NCAA.
  • Academically, received Longwood Scholar-Athlete Award.
AS A FRESHMAN (LONGWOOD, 2010-11):
  • Played 25 games, averaged 5.2 minutes, 0.9 points, 1.5 rebounds and 0.1 assists.
  • Shot 31.4% (11-35) from the field and 33.3% (1-3) at the free throw line.
  • Head season-highs with four points and six rebounds vs. Montreat (Nov. 22).
  • Academically, received Longwood Scholar-Athlete Award.
BEFORE IONA: (MILLBROOK SCHOOL):
  • Attended Millbrook School in Dutchess County, New York.
  • Earned MVP award as a senior, averaging 22.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 3.0 blocks.
  • Earned Most Improved Player award as a junior, averaging 19.0 points and 8.0 rebounds.
  • Set Millbrook School record for single-game rebounds (19).
  • Earned All-Tournament Team at the Providence Jamfest and the BCNY Prep Showcase.
  • Attended Five-Star Camp and was named an all-star.
  • Received Mllbrook’s prestigious Class of 1978 Award presented, only when warranted, to a senior “whose spirit and enthusiasm have significantly enhanced the traditions of the Millbrook School”.
  • Also played baseball.
