Iona University Athletics

David Greenwald enters his second year as Assistant Sports Information Director at Iona College.  Greenwald will serve as the primary contact for water polo, swimming and diving, golf, softball and takes over as contact for football.  Greenwald will once again provide the play-by-play for the Gaels' Football games and women's basketball streaming on icgaels.com.

A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Greenwald holds a bachelor's degree in communications.  Greenwald was a member of the University of Pittsburgh Varsity Marching Band and the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity.

Prior to Iona, Greenwald served as the Director of Broadcasting/Media Relations for the 2007 Inaugural Season of the Charlotte County Redfish Professional Baseball team and was the play-by-play voice of the Strong Island Sound, a member of the American Basketball Association.  Greenwald has also worked for Molloy College and NYU Athletics serving as PA announcer for men's and women's soccer and volleyball and had the opportunity to call the 2007-08 quarterfinal soccer match for eventual Division II National Champion Dowling College.  

A native of Fairfield, CT, Greenwald resides in Great Neck, NY.
