Patrick Wallace completed his third season as assistant coach at Iona University in 2025-26.
During his tenure at Iona, Wallace has helped the Gaels increase their win total in each season and played a key role in the program's 18-win campaign under first-year head coach Dan Geriot in 2025-26, the third-most victories by a first-year head coach in Iona's storied history.
Wallace has been instrumental in the recruitment and development of several All-MAAC performers during his time in New Rochelle. He helped recruit and develop All-MAAC performers Idan Tretout and Dejour Reaves, while serving as the lead recruiter for All-MAAC Second Team selection CJ Anthony. Anthony finished his lone season at Iona with the 11th-best single-season assist total in program history. Wallace also served as the lead recruiter for graduate transfer Toby Harris, who concluded his lone season with 90 three-point field goals, the eighth-most in a single season in program history.
Wallace came to New Rochelle from Loyola University Chicago. He spent four seasons with the Ramblers, the first two as a video coordinator for Porter Moser and the last two as an assistant coach for Drew Valentine.
During his first three seasons at Loyola, Wallace helped the program to two NCAA Tournament appearances, two Missouri Valley Conference championships and three seasons of 20 or more wins. In his final season, he was instrumental in the Ramblers' transition from the Missouri Valley Conference to the Atlantic 10.
In 2021-22, his first season as a Division I assistant coach, Wallace was heavily involved with a Loyola offense that ranked among the nation's leaders in both field goal percentage and three-point shooting. Loyola set a single-season program record for three-point field goals and reached the NCAA Tournament once again, marking the first time in nearly 60 seasons that the Ramblers earned back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances. Loyola posted 25 wins and captured a second straight Missouri Valley Conference title.
While at Loyola, Wallace coached Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year and Associated Press All-American Cameron Krutwig and helped develop Ben Schwieger, who later earned Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team honors.
Prior to Loyola, Wallace spent two seasons from 2017-19 as a graduate manager on Chris Collins' staff at Northwestern University. As a graduate manager at Northwestern, he was responsible for game and scouting preparation, oversaw undergraduate managers and assisted in player development.
Wallace played collegiately at North Carolina State from 2013-15 and Charleston Southern from 2015-17. He was a member of two NCAA Tournament teams and part of a Sweet 16 run that included a victory over No. 1 overall seed Villanova in 2015. He finished his career at Charleston Southern ranked 15th in program history with 117 three-point field goals despite playing only two seasons. Wallace was a two-time Big South All-Academic selection and an NABC Honors Court honoree in both of his seasons at Charleston Southern.
A Charlotte, North Carolina native, Wallace played prep basketball at Brewster Academy in New Hampshire. He earned his undergraduate degree from Charleston Southern in 2017 and his master's degree in sports administration from Northwestern in 2019.
Wallace has also been recognized nationally as one of the rising young coaches in college basketball. He participated in the Top Connect Symposium, an invite-only event for emerging assistant coaches identified as future head coaches, where participants take part in mock interviews, NIL workshops and networking opportunities with athletic directors and administrators from across the country. In 2026, Wallace was named to Silver Waves Media's 100 Most Impactful Mid-Major Assistant/General Manager list.
Wallace resides in Harrison, New York, with his wife, ESPN and Big Ten women's basketball analyst Meghan Wallace (McKeown), and their son, JJ.
