Ray Savage enters his second season as director of operations for the Iona University men's basketball program. Savage came to New Rochelle from Fairleigh Dickinson where he served in the same capacity in 2022-23.

While at FDU, Savage was responsible for gameday, practice and off-court basketball operations - including travel and logistics.

Savage joined Anderson's staff at Fairleigh Dickinson after two seasons at Georgia Highlands College, an NJCAA Division I program in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association. Savaged played a role in recruiting, evaluating prospects and on-campus recruiting duties, monitored academic progress of the student-athletes, developed scouting reports for opponents and self-scouting reports. Savage helped develop four Division I players in two seasons.

Prior to his stint in Northwest Georgia, Savage spent one season as assistant director of operations at Fordham University in 2019-20 under head coach Jeff Neubauer. He managed gameday and practice setup/breakdown for men's basketball, team meals, day-to-day video operations and supervised the program's student-managers.

His coaching career began during his season as an assistant coach at St. Joseph by the Sea High School, a CSHAA A-League program.

Savage attended the College of Staten Island and earned a degree in business in 2019. Playing two seasons of collegiate basketball at CSI to end his collegiate career, Savage spent his first two years at Misericordia (D-III) and was an NCAA tournament participant as a freshman.. Returning home to Staten Island in 2016, Savage was named the Men's Basketball Coach's Award recipient and appeared in two NCAA tournaments with the Dolphins.

He was a four-year varsity basketball player at Moore Catholic in his native Staten Island.
