Biography

Local product from Mt. Vernon, completed his collegiate career in New Rochelle after transferring from St. John’s University during his sophomore campaign... Played 78 games between the two schools, tallied 639 points, 369 rebounds, 86 assists, 60 blocks and 61 steals.

AS A SENIOR  (2007-08):
Appeared in 32 games and made 27 starts for the Gaels... Averaged a team best 11.3 points per game and is second on the team with 5.2 rebounds per game... Led the team with 21 games with 10 or more points including a career-high 21 points vs. Canisius on Feb. 18... Had his first collegiate double-double with 12 points and 12 boards at Saint Peter’s on Feb. 1... Post player that has developed a touch from the outside... Second on the team in FTM and FTA converting 68-of-92 of his attempts (73.9%)... Has scored 10 or more points in 20 of 32 career appearances in Maroon & Gold...  Has led the Gaels in scoring in 10 of 28 games and rebounding in nine games... Scored 14 points and had nine rebounds at Robert Morris on Nov. 18...  Had back-to-back 18 point efforts at Princeton and at No. 1 North Carolina on Nov. 14 and Nov. 18... Also grabbed nine rebounds at Princeton... Scored 16 points vs. Old Dominion on Nov. 20...  Had his second 18-point, nine rebound effort of the season vs. South Carolina State on Nov. 23... Had 13 points on 4-of-5 shooting, all in the first half in a win at UNH on Dec. 15... Tallied a game high 15 points and grabbed five rebounds while dishing out three assists and blocking two shots in the win at Saint Francis on Dec. 19... Recorded 14 points and grabbed five rebounds in win over Western Michigan on Dec. 22... Led the team with six boards at Vanderbilt on Dec. 31... Tallied 10 points and nine rebounds vs. Niagara on Jan. 3... Had 12 points and nine rebounds and shot 3-of-4 from the free throw line vs. Rider on Jan. 11... Scored 14 points, all in the first half, in a win over Fairfield on Jan. 18.  Shot 7-for-12 in the contest... Recorded eight points and five rebounds and was heralded as the “unsung hero” in win over Manhattan at MSG on Jan. 30.   Was instrumental in dictating the defensive effort, holding the Jaspers to under 35.0% from the field in the game... Had his first double-double in Maroon & Gold with 12 points and a career-high 12 boards at Saint Peter’s on Feb. 1... Had 20 points vs. Canisius on Feb. 8... Had back-to-back 10+ point efforts for the first time in 14 games... Led the team in scoring for the second straight game with 14 points at Fairfield on Feb. 10... Set a career-high with 21 points in a win at Canisius on Feb. 18.. Had six rebounds and shot 9-of-10 from the free throw line, a career-high in both makes and takes... Had a team-best 17 points and nine rebounds vs. Hofstra on Feb. 23... Appeared in two minutes and was scoreless for just the second time as a Gael at Marist on Feb. 29... Rebounded with a 12-point, six rebound effort in 17 minutes in Senior Day win vs. Manhattan on Mar. 2... Netted 12 points and seven boards in MAAC Championship opening round match up vs. Canisius.

AS A JUNIOR (2006-07):
Sat out the first semester due to NCAA transfer regulations... Started all four games he appeared in averaging 10.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 30.0 minutes of play... Led Iona in scoring once and rebounding twice... Had 10 points, six rebounds, six assists and three steals in Iona debut vs. Niagara on Dec. 19... Led the team with 20 points, eight rebounds and three assists vs. New Hampshire on Dec. 22... Scored nine points, grabbed seven rebounds and recorded two steals vs. Princeton on Dec. 30... Played only 12 minutes because of foul trouble at Maryland on Jan. 4... Sat out the remainder of the season to attend to academic affairs.

AS A SOPHOMORE (ST. JOHN’S UNIVERSITY):
Appeared in 15 games off the bench for the St. John’s Red Storm before deciding to transfer to Iona in the Spring of 2006... Netted 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds in a 7-for-9 shooting effort in a win vs. UMES in the 2005-06 season opener... Netted eight points and grabbed four rebounds vs. St. Francis... Grabbed six rebounds in back-to-back contests vs. Stony Brook and at Virginia Tech... Recorded eight points at Va. Tech... Had back-to-back eight point efforts vs. Columbia and UMass at the Panasonic Holiday Festival.

AS A FRESHMAN (ST. JOHN’S UNIVERSITY):
Played in all 27 games as in 2005-06, drawing 26 starts... Averaged 6.0 points per game and was second on the team with 4.7 rebounds per game... Reached double-figures in scoring in three of the first four games and in five contests on the season... Posted his first career double-double and only double-digit rebound game with 10 boards and 10 points at Seton Hall... Scored 17 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the field in his collegiate debut, a St. John’s victory over Wagner... Netted 10 points and grabbed four rebounds vs. St. Francis... Tallied 11 points and grabbed five boards vs. Stony Brook... Scored six points and grabbed four rebounds against Illinois State... Registered six points and grabbed seven rebounds in just 16 minutes of play vs. Virginia Tech... Dropped eight points with eight rebounds against Canisius... Contributed eight points and four rebounds in the Holiday Festival victory over No. 17 NC State... Only score in the win over No. 21 Pittsburgh was a 3-point play with less than a minute left that tied the game ... Netted 12 points and grabbed six rebounds in a win over Georgetown... Registered six points and had five rebounds against Duke... Led the team in charges drawn.

BEFORE IONA (MT. VERNON HIGH SCHOOL):
Keyed Mount Vernon to the New York State Class AA Federation title in March of 2004... Led the Knights to a 98-13 record across his four-year career... Captained his high school squad to four Section I titles and four appearances in the state semifinals for head coach Bob Cimino.
