Biography
First-year guard/forward that will see action in Iona's lineup and look to contribute right away in his freshman season... Versatile performer that has the ability to play four different positions in the Gaels' lineup... Will play the hybrid "point-forward" position for the Gaels at times... One of the best passers on the team... Possesses tremendous court vision, ball-handling skills and play-making ability... The last Division I recruit to come from New Jersey basketball powerhouse and recently closed Paterson Catholic High School.
BEFORE IONA (PATERSON CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL):
As a senior, helped lead his team to a 28-1 record and as high as a No. 3 national ranking in 2009-10... Averaged 5.7 points per game and a team-leading 4.8 assists to go along with 3.6 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game... Shot 50.0% from the field netting a season high 16 points in a win over Eastside HS in February '10... Registered three contests with 10 or more assists and had a season high 14 assists and 10 rebounds vs. St. Mary in March '10... Named All-Passaic County Second Team and played with Seton Hall signee Fuquan Edwin on the Cougars... As a junior, also led Paterson Catholic in assists while averaging 8.6 points per game... Ranked as the No. 34 small forward in the Class of 2010 by ESPN.com with a scout’s grade of 90.
