Biography

Fourth-year guard that served as team captain during his sophomore and junior campaigns... Appeared one of four players to appear in all 31 games and made 25 starts... Earned the start in each of the last 24 games helping the Gaels to a 17-7 record over the stretch... Improved his three-point shooting percentage mpre than seven percent and hit a career-best 21 trifectas... Held over a 1.0 assist-to-turnover ratio for the third straight year... Averaged 5.6 points and was fourth on the team with 33 steals... Recorded a career-high seven double-digit point efforts... Outstanding defender and solid playmaker with solid outside game... Possesses good size and can play all three guard positions... Does the little things that do not show up on the stat sheet... A continued, calming, veteran influence on Iona’s backcourt.

AS A JUNIOR (2009-10):
Scored three points, grabbed two rebounds, dished out two assists and recorded two steals in 20 minutes vs. BU on Nov. 13... Had four points and three rebounds in win over Hampton on Nov. 17... Netted five points in win over Creighton on Nov. 29... Tallied seven points vs. Saint Peter’s on Dec. 4... Scored a career-high eight points vs. Siena on Dec. 7... Matched a career-best with four steals in the win over Long Island on Dec. 9... Had a season-high 14 points with the help of an 8-for-8 performance from the free throw line in BIG EAST win over Providence on Dec. 12... Had six points vs. Albany on Dec. 17... Held scoreless for just the second time this season vs. Fairleigh Dickinson on Dec. 23... Netted 12 points and had three assists at No. 11 Connecticut on Dec. 27... Netted 13 points and sealed a 63-60 win at Niagara on Jan. 2 with two free throws with 1.4 seconds remaining... Posted eight points at Canisius on Jan. 4... Had 12 points including two three-pointers and shared the team with four assists at Rider on Jan. 9... Had back-to-back 10+ point efforts for the second time in five games with an even 10 at Loyola on Jan. 11... Posted six points in 14 minutes in win over Marist on Jan. 28... AS A SOPHOMORE (2008-09):
Finished second on the team with 67 assists in 26 games (2.6/g)... Started the final four games but come off the bench in 14 contests and for just 17 times in 58 appearances in Maroon & Gold...  Missed five games in late December/early January with a hip flexor injury... Averaged 6.0 points and 3.2 rebounds in 24.6 minutes per game... Tallied nine points, five rebounds and five assists in season opening win over Hampton on Nov. 14... Posted 10 points with three assists in the Gaels win over Valparaiso on Nov. 22... Had nine points with four rebounds in the Gaels one-point loss to Marist on Dec. 5... Posted 10 points on 4-of-6 shooting at Fairfield on Dec. 7... Tallied nine points and a team-high four assists at LIU on Dec. 10... Unable to practice prior to the SFPA game due to a family emergency and appeared in a career-low two minutes vs. Saint Francis (Pa.) on Dec. 14... Returned to the starting lineup after coming off the bench in four straight contests at Western Michigan on Dec. 18... AS A FRESHMAN (2007-08):
Appeared in all 32 games making a team-high 29 starts... Averaged 6.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and was second on the team in assists (2.7 apg) and third in minutes (28.4 mpg)... Had five games with 10 or more points and set a career-high with seven assists vs. Manhattan on Mar. 2 in the regular season finale... Finished eighth in MAAC contests with a 1.35 assist-to-turnover ratio, the highest on the team... Came off the bench in collegiate debut tallying eight points, grabbing four rebounds and draining both three point attempts at Robert Morris on Nov. 10... Has started the next 10 games after season opener... Dished out five assists vs. Princeton on Nov. 14... Had his first collegiate double-digit point effort with 12 points vs. South Carolina State on Nov. 23... Added nine points the next day in Las Vegas vs. Jackson State... Had a career-best 16 points including 13 in the first half in 21 minutes vs. Loyola on Dec. 7... Shot 6-of-7 from the field with four rebounds, three assists and two blocks vs. the Greyhounds... BEFORE IONA (BLOOMFIELD TECH):
Attended Bloomfield Tech in Northern New Jersey... Under the guidance of head coach Nick Mariniello, helped Bloomfield Tech to three Group 1 state championships and one Essex County Tournament title in his four seasons... Fell to St. Patrick’s of Elizabeth as a senior in Bloomfield Tech’s second trip to the NJSIAA Tournament of Champions final in four years... As a senior, averaged 14.8 points and 6.6 rebounds per contest... Named NJ Star Ledger New Jersey Player of the Year... Described as a “dependable scorer and playmaker”... Also selected to the All-State First Team... Elevated his level of play in the postseason, leading his squad through the state tournament... Had eight assists and four blocked shots in the Group 1 state semifinals against Elmwood Park... Followed it up with 20 points and 12 rebounds vs. Create Charter in the next contest... Had 19 points in the first round, 14 rebounds in the semifinal match up and 22 points in the championship game defeat in the NJSIAA Tournament of Champions... Versatile performer as a scholastic athlete was asked to play all five positions at times... Described as one of the best defensive players in New Jersey as a senior.
