Paolo Matti graduated from Iona College in 2019 after being part of the men's golf program for four seasons. Matti was a captain his junior and senior season, and his steady play was a large contributor to the program's success over recent years. Matti was a part of two MAAC Championship teams and took part in two NCAA Regional events.
Matti was an All-MAAC performer in 2018 at the MAAC Championship placing eighth overall. In his season season he placed fifth at the conference championship. At the 2018 NCAA Regional in Raleigh, Matti finished in a tie for 72nd place. In 2018 he placed 67th individually in Pullman, Washington.
Overall in his career as a player, Matti has two All-MAAC accolades and was also named the MAAC Rookie of the Year in 2016.
The 2020-21 season is the first of year Matti has served as an assistant coach.
