Brianna Fischer joins the Iona University softball coaching staff as a graduate assistant following a standout two-year playing career with the Maroon & Gold.
A two-year starter at shortstop, Fischer started all 103 games during her Iona career and posted a .312 batting average, .374 on-base percentage and .549 slugging percentage. She totaled 99 hits, 57 runs scored, 23 doubles, five triples, 14 home runs, 62 runs batted in and 29 stolen bases.
As a senior in 2026, Fischer earned All-Conference Second Team honors after batting .319 with 52 hits, 12 doubles, eight home runs and 34 RBI. She also earned All-Academic Team recognition. In her first season with the Gaels in 2025, she batted .305 with 47 hits, 30 runs scored and 17 stolen bases while starting all 50 games.
Prior to Iona, the Bordentown, New Jersey native played two seasons at Adelphi, where she was named the 2023 NE10 Rookie of the Year and helped the Panthers capture the 2023 NE10 Championship.
Fischer graduated from Iona in May 2026 with a bachelor's degree in entrepreneurship and is currently pursuing her MBA at Iona’s LaPenta School of Business.
