Hankins graduated from Fairfield in 2019. As a student-athlete she was a two-time captain, the 2018 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Player of the Year and was named to the Dean's List all eight semesters. Hankins' senior season with the Stags was limited due to an injury; while on the shelf she was responsible for creating hitting and pitching charts, as well as scouting reports for her coaching staff. Hankins also helped during practice, instructing hitters and fielders, coaching first and third base among other tasks to assist the staff.
The former catcher and infielder joined head coach Katie Jansson and assistant coach Darren Rea for the 2020 season and her duties include working with the infielders, instructing hitters and assisting the coaching staff with recruiting.
