The Gaels had two student-athletes win major awards in Klampert's third season.   Alana Evans took home MAAC Pitcher of the Year while Tori Danner was named the MAAC Defensive Player of the Year.

In his first season at Iona, Klampert and the Maroon & Gold concluded the campaign at 13-33, 7-13 MAAC.

Iona College softball head coach Melissa Inouye announced the appointment of Matthew Klampert to her staff as an assistant coach. Klampert served as volunteer assistant coach at St. John’s University before coming to Iona College.
